Founder and CEO of Crop Bioscieince Solutions Ltd.
Wilfred Mushobozi is a serial entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Crop Bioscience Solutions Ltd (CBS), a company he started in 2012 is the Tanzania leading commercial crop Biotech Company involved in supplying Early generation disease free sweet potato vines seeds, banana, potato, cassava, and other vegetative propagated seeds materials. The company also provides farmer outreach services in Good Agriculture Practices, soil lab analysis and plant disease diagnostic from its molecular diagnostic lab.
Wilfred has 25 years hands on experience in agribusiness development in Eastern African countries. For the past four years he has been involved in various agricultural programs that include profitable orange fleshed sweet potato to improve house hold nutrition and income for farmers and Keeping disease free sweet potato vines closer to the farmers in Tanzania. This intervention has benefited 44,000 farmers in seven regions. He holds MSc. in Agriculture with distinction from Plovidiv Agriculture University and Post graduate diploma in Agribusiness from Galilee International Agriculture Institute- Israel.
He has participated in various seeds workshops and conference and shared his experience on Seed2Business to End Hunger in Africa including the recent one Demand Lead Breeding in Africa.
