Rajendran is an agricultural economist with the International Potato Center based in Kampala, Uganda. At CIP, he works closely with national agricultural research institutes to focus on potato and sweetpotato seed systems and with local partners throughout the country to strengthen early generation seed production and business models. Rajendran also provides inputs to M&E team at CIP to develop and implement impact assessments in the field.

Rajendran began his CGIAR career in 2008 and prior to that post consulted with UN organizations on topics ranging from seed system improvement to consumer analysis, value chain analysis, social entrepreneurship and cost-benefit analysis.
