CIP, RAB introduces new sweetpotato varieties to farmers in Rwanda

The International Potato Center (CIP) as a research institute operating in Rwanda has contributed immensely towards food security, fighting malnutrition and improving incomes of the small-holder farmers. In collaboration with the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB), 5 new sweetpotato varieties have been introduced to farmers. These varieties include Cecilie, Esther, New Kawogo, Kyabafrika and Otada with orign from Mozambique, Uganda and Rwanda.
